  • Established new music therapy programs for inpatients at the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in both the psychiatric and substance abuse programs.

​

  •  Work with adults who have cognitive challenges such as dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases as well as accompanying emotional difficulties.

​

  •  Work with adults in in-patient physical rehabilitation program some of whom present with behavioral and emotional difficulties.

  • Completed music therapy internship at the Jefferson: A Sunrise Senior Living Community in Arlington, VA

  • Completed Professional Studies Program for Music Therapy, Shenandoah University, 2014

​In the fall of 2011, Linda began studying music therapy at Shenandoah University and received her Graduate Certificate in Music Therapy in May of 2014. Dr. Teasley completed field placements at Westminster Canterbury retirement community in Winchester, VA, the Adult Care Center of the Northern Shenandoah Valley, Inc. and the Martinsburg, WV Veteran’s Administration Hospital and completing her internship at the Jefferson, a Sunrise Senior Living Community in Arlington, VA.

​In the fall of 2013, Linda began working with patients in the inpatient behavioral health unit at the Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital providing weekly music therapy sessions. She recently began a music therapy group for the inpatient substance abuse residential treatment program housed at the hospital facility.

Dr. Teasley recently began presenting music therapy sessions for clients in day programs at Insight Memory Care Center in Fairfax, VA and has continued her work at Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital
